Perspectives of Pulmonary Drug Therapy

The symposium of the Paul Martini Foundation wants to show pharmacotherapeutic progress in this area and outline prospects for potential or likely future therapies. In view of the large variety of possible subjects, the oncology category had to be excluded but will be addressed at a later time. Aerosol technologies for targeted applications in the alveolar space and modern approaches in molecular biology are promising innovations among the vascular parenchymatous pulmonary diseases. Current problems include approaches to impact fibrosis and pulmonary pressure. One of the more important subjects in the field of infectious diseases will be tuberculosis. Obstructive pulmonary diseases and pneumological intensive care are the topics of the second morning. The highlight of the evening event is the representation of the lungs' developmental biology under the aspect of regenerative therapy approaches.

Berlin, Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften Dieser Workshop soll dazu dienen, die Rahmenbedingungen für die Entwicklung von Medikamenten gegen seltene Krankheiten und die bereits vorhandenen Therapiemöglichkeiten interdisziplinär zu diskutieren und weitere Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten in diesem Bereich auszuloten.

Die Methoden der Versorgungsforschung werden gegenwärtig intensiv diskutiert. Eine valide Methodik ist auch für dieses Gebiet Voraussetzung für belastbare Ergebnisse. Mit der Darstellung am Beispiel der psychiatrischen Pharmakotherapie greift die PMS ein hoch aktuelles Thema auf.
